Ello everyone im very new here and have been looking all over the net for a place where I could solve my Quary.Whats going on is ive just recieved the 2 pickups which ive been dying to have the Air Norton and the Steves Special (Im a huge Petrucci fan hence the account name).The only problem is I am an idiot when it comes to reading schematics and the ones that Dimarzio has packed are beyond confusing.If anyoen could give me a step by step run through on AIM or MSN it would be GREATLY appreciated.Ive got all the materials i Need just need to know where to put what and what to/not to solder.The Guitar is an S470 if it matters and my AIM handle is FuFuNoNo40 and my MSN Handle is FuFuNoNo40.

That's crazy, I'd help if I could but I usually pay to have mine done, but it's only $20-$40 for a pair.

$70 is pretty steep.

Have you ever done any soldering before? If so, there should be schematics on Jemsite somewhere. If not, take it to a different tech.

I'm pretty sure that you can get the schematics directly from Dimarzio. Just email [email protected] and they will get back to you within 24 hours if not sooner. The diagrams that dimarzio will send you should look just like how it looks inside of the controls cavity more or less. But if you still don't feel comfortable with the installation then I suggest letting a professional take care of it for you. It should only cost $20-$30 for a pickup change.
