HELP with JS neck?

I have a JS1000BP 1998 or so. The neck is thinner than the newer models and feels much better to me. Does anybody know if there is a newer JS that can be purchased with the old feel? My JS1000 is wearing out and I need a new one. Bought a JS24P but couldnt stand the "thick log" neck, so I returned it. Any advise? Thanks much.
