No picstory here. Just some guitarporn shots. Description at the bottom.

1989 JEM777VBK: Found this little beauty on black friday at guitar center, couldn't leave without it. Would have gotten sold to the guy who was in the middle of buying it online if I had left without it. Sorry online guy. Amazing guitar, practically no wear. Besides regular wear like the maple neck getting darker because of sweat and whatnot, oxidization of the metal parts and a few marks(not chips) on the edge of the headstock, this guitar looks like new(In the pics I took the light reflecting off the edge of the body looks like chips, they aren't). Love that thin neck, love that original edge, love those pickups, love that color scheme. Not a single thing I don't like about this guitar. the frets are like new, and they probably are. That's the one thing about this guitar that isn't original(unless they're not new and this guitar's just been sitting in its case for a few years at a time), and I don't mind one bit. All case candy included, including the original warranty card.

This is why I love Ibanez.

Nice. Did you buy this at the Guitar Center in Highland Park? Some rich lawyer sold off a number of Jems from his collection that were all in really nice shape. Most of them got snapped up really quick. I went in there around Christmas and the only one left was an FP.

Yep. That's my local store. I'm starting to go to the Arlington Heights location a lot more, they've got a much larger selection and an awesome used section. Only problem is the ridiculous ride there...

Loving both of those guitars :)

Has the JEM had a trem swap? It doesn't look like a Cosmo Black coloured bridge !!!
Just took a close look at it and compared it to another cosmo trem and a black trem. Seems to be right in between, perhaps just a goofed up run that ended up being an especially dark cosmo.

Beautiful Jem buddy what kinda deal did guitar center give ya if you don't mind me asking?
I'd rather not say the exact price, but I'd say I got a great deal considering the condition of the guitar and case, along with the case candy. They also threw in a free Korg clip-on tuner, because that's the one thing I came into the store to get.

Wow!! I know that's my FP that your speaking of tell me more . I just baught a 2001 FP from Highland Park GC in Skokie valley Illinois. They had listed wrong as a 91 cuz the neck plate started off 91, but the neck startedF01 stumped me for moment then I remembered they were still sold in Europe and Japan public.so I learned tru Rich anytime there is a headstock # it is true date. Plus it has a slight diff pattern less big light bloom and more red bloom and vine and leaf which I love hell out of cuz it's a little unique. No doubt thàt is it by dates of your post and it is honestly in unplayed cond. Noz any sign of wearPlz tell me more bout this lawyer collection. Just wanna know. Don't know why it is such a mint guitar. Better than some new I have baught. Not even a swirl mark anywhere. Got extra pickgaurd from Rich to be able to play without worry of scratching it's that mint. Lol

I pointed out to the salesman that it was a 2001. Obviously they never changed the listing. Not much to tell about the previous owner. They told me it was a rich guy with a big collection of guitars. He just decided one day to sell them all to Guitar Center.
