I have an Ibanez RG770DX I purchased new in 1991. It came new with a F2 in the bridge and a F2 in the neck. All these years I thought at the factory they must have just thrown two F2s in there. I am in the process of restoring it to it's original beauty and had never tested the resistance in the pickups until today. Come to find out they have a 9.12 and 9.39 resistance. I know that it was supposed to have a F4 in the neck and the F4 resistance is somewhere around 9.94. Could one of these be a F4 in a F2 bobbin? If so, why is the other one's resistance also low? Am I measuring wrong? Any ideas or thoughts about any of this?
