Rosewood RG550 from 1993?

Hello,

I came upon what seems to be an Ibanez RG550 but I'm not entirely sure about its integrity.
Its an all-black Ibanez RG with a rosewood fingerboard. Serial number dates it to be a 93' MIJ model and it has RG550 written next to the serial (behind the headstock). The problem is that the catalogs and also the Ibanez wiki says that the rosewood 550 model only started at 95-96. Can anyone shed light on this?

What do the pickups say on them. Could be someone swapped necks. Those wizards were fairly fragile below the locking nut, & neck swaps are not unusual.

This still doesn't solve the year issue. If this neck came from another RG550, how is it possible that it's a 93'?
