He is coming to my city in February. Tickets are as low as $40 but all the way in the back and go up from there. It's like an auditorium with seats, so no standing and 8pm, but is on a Thursday which I don't like. I wish it was Friday or Saturday.

How long does a show can last?

I'm considering going, only because you're sitting. If you want to sit in the middle is like $150+

I've not had a chance to see Steve but have seen Gilbert 3x in the last few years. All were well worth it..

Went to my first post pandemic gig last month and it was so great to have that energy of a band playing really loud with a real crowd.

ive seen some crazy **** on youtube lol if anything maybe it will help me to practice more who knows, ive gotten much better these past 3 months than i did a long time since i created a kind of routine with exercises that i follow everyday and switch them up now and then, my chops are better than they used to be thanks to following a routine

Ive been wanting to have the axe fx for a long time, id rather use money towards that than taking photos with Steve. I like him and his music but not really a fanboy

Going to the show in Detroit. Bought the "Full on Evo" package for front row seats. I've never been disappointed by a Vai show......except at a G3 show where I got to witness Yngwie trying to dropkick picks into the audience. 🤣

If memory serves me, my ticket was about $300. That's not bad considering most concerts for **** acts cost $60-$100 with fees (for example Motley Crue/DL/Poison/JJ in Atlanta, GA in 2022 cost $120 for a nose bleed seat and several hundreds/thousands for VIP packages.)

My seat is in the front row, plus all of the swag, meet & greet etc. for $300 is a good value considering the current state of affairs with live music. It's not enough to go to a show anymore, everyone wants an "experience." I'm ok with spending the money on this experience. Could be the last time I ever see him considering my age (and Steve's.)

I just checked and a seat in row "J" in Detroit is only $85. Still a good value even without the experience and a good seat.

where i live a front row ticket is like $900

I saw vai, satriani, and petrucci on a g3 tour.

All were great.

I connected with satriani the most and vai the least.

Satriani just has that groove thing going, while vai tries too hard to be "different" that the music sometimes doesn't connect, like jazz.

Petrucci? I think he is one of the best guitar players ever. It's just that his music does not inspire that much. He is phenomenal at doing covers and always has great tone.

Honestly, If vai came to my area, i'd pass.

I'm there for satriani though.
