Hello everyone,

I bought a JEMJRSP the other day, and I'm wanting to make sure it's real. Although I can't imagine anyone faking a $500 guitar, ya never know.

Anyone know where I can verify the serial on these? I did a Google search, and found one site. It returned unknown yr, and unknown factory. So, it's got me a bit worried.

Serial # is
JEMJRSP
1P-02 (is the 02 the yr? )

Thanks in advance

Based on the below, as found on the Ibanez.fandom.com website, and the number you posted, it appears to be a 2020 model made in October of the same year.

‘Did you have any trouble getting yours to stay in tune after using the bar? There were guys that bought this on another forum and they complaine that after dives and pull ups it wouldn’t stay in tune. Mine wouldn’t either. So I took off the back plate and guess what I found.

There were three springs that were stretched to the max and the claw almost touching the top of the route. So I let the claw out over an inch, and put in the extra spring that came with it. With four springs not stretched to the max, it felt more like three springs, and the trem returns to pitch.

Also if you lower the string retaining bar on the headstock to where the Strings toucch the very back of The nur, you won’t have to use the fine tuners. It will stay in tune after you lock down the nut.
