My Jem has a very noticeable difference in volume between pickups. The two humbuckers (Dimarzio Gravity Storm) are super loud, but in position 3 the single coil (Dimarzio Evolution) is much more quiet. It's a big difference, and it doesn't allow to switch from humbuckers to single coil on the same song as the volume change is significant. Volume in positions 2 and 4 is intermediate, in between the humbucker and the single coil. Is this normal in Jems?

A lot of HSH configuration guitars can have this problem. The humbuckers are pretty high output in comparison to most single coils. It can be improved by adjusting pickup height. I recently installed some new pickups in a HSH configured guitar and had to pay close attention to the output of them so no single pickup would overwhelm the other. Are they all the original pickups?

Yes all originals as came out of the factory. I'll play with pickup height and see what I can get. I could try to lower the humbuckers and see if it improves.
