I am a little suprised that they have a double pedal that is well....a double ;)

I was excited about this pedal (love the swirled housing) when I thought it was a TS-9 AND DS-1.

I actually have both those pedals and still would have bought this one had it had both pedals, but two of the same pedals in one...not sure what to think about that other than I'll be waiting to hear more once the reviews start coming in before I buy.

I would have ordered sight un"heard" if it was what I thought it was going to be, a TS-9 and DS-1.

Two of the same pedals, but you can have different settings in each pedal. You will not have to stop the show to change the settings. Sometimes using two pedals together vs. just one can boost / change the sound. I'm getting one.

I can see how that might be fine for some. I never have to change settings other than ON or OFF for my distortion.

It is possible that the distortion in this pedal will go from TS-9 mild to DS-1 full and in that case I see this as a plausible idea.

I WANT to buy it but I have to be able to get use out of it.

Or simply buy for the same price a Damage Control Solid Metal which holds 8 Presets and has real tubes that will blow away the jemini in sound quality....

How long do you give before there are post bitching about it?
He ain't bitching because he's RIGHT. I'm surprised he actually waited this long.

In fact, I think we ALL should just chip in our life savings to Vai before he starts releasing his own signiature Honeywell fan, SWIRLED no less.

You know, Ibanez actually could have made some money off of this if they didn't charge an arm and a leg for something that probably cost them a whopping total of $.03 to make (and that's including what they charge the person that they're underpaying to make it). If it were more reasonably priced I might have bought it. But, they just had to take something they already make, double it, slap Vai's name on it, and charge $200.

Why, oh WHY, would you buy this when you could buy other pedals (Damage Control Solid Metal, Line 6 DL-4, need I go on?)? I'll tell you why, because of a little label with the letter V A I. And we've got a bunch of mindless fanboys (not all of you, but there are a number of them) who will buy anything with that annoying logo slapped onto it.

I'm not saying Vai's products (or his playing for that matter) are bad, the JEM is one of the best, if not THE best, guitars I've ever played, and the Legacy is a beast. But this, and the Bad Horsie pedals are... well... horse crap. Okay, I'll give the original Bad Horsie some credit, but seriously... the Little Alligator? Come on.
