Hey all, just bought a podxt (comes from the US in 4 days) as im just sick of the effects on my vox vt50, they just dont do it for me.

I recently bought a korg pandora px4d and it sounded crap thru the vox on (the cleanest channel i could find)

Now baring in mind im a total novice when it comes to gear.

Would i be better off doing this?

JS1000-podxt-PA system with mixer & monitors

Why cant i use these effects processors with my vox vt50 amp? Do i need to get shot of the vox and go for a peavey classic 30/50 with 6L6 tubes (which i like the idea of) knowing it has a clean channel?

Is a stereo MIXER the important bit?

Educate me someone please. Send me pictures.!!

Im dying in the frustration of not finding the tone i want/need/like/lust

I don't think modelling amps take effects very well, I had the same dilemma with my Vox AD50VT which I sold for a Genz Benz Black Pearl, best investment ever. If I were you I would take your korg to a guitar store or use one of their multi-effects pedals into a few amps like the Peavey Classic, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and if you can find one the Black Pearl 30 and see what you think.
