lexicon MPX-G2 VS. Lexicon MPX-1

what do you guys think about each?? I'm pretty much set on one of the two. I have a mesa mark IV. so i don't know how much i'll really be needing preamps, overdrives, etc that come with the G2, but i kinda like the idea of them being there just in case. i like that they would be built in, so that i could switch those on and off with a single stomp also. just some pros and cons of each would be great

also what do you thnk of the MPX R1 foot controller?? will it work well for switching the MPX effects unit and running through a patch mate kind of unit for switching my amp channels (someone will still have to explain how those individual switches on the back of the mark iv work for switching stuff cause i have no clue where to hook those into)?

i havnt had any experience with the MPX1 but i know a few people who have.... The tones that come out of the MPX1 are great, but if you are going to use it for live situation with a midi controller, apparently it takes its time to switch between patches.. like 3 seconds or so.... i've also heard its hard to edit patches etc, but thats easily fixed by reading the manual..., I was considering an MPX1 but not buying one, because of the long time b/w swtiching presets...

Maybe consider a Tc Electronic G-Major or a Rocktron Xpression...

:)

That's a problem... How about the G2; same issue??

I'm reluctant to buy the TC because of the reliabilty problems I've been hearing about, but how's the Rocktron Xpression.. I looked at it but don't know much about it. Also how about the Replifex or Intellifex??
some usefull info...

and just go to harmony central for some reviews... (http://www.harmony-central.com/)

sorry i couldnt be much more of help, i havnt really had any hands onwith these products.. just heard of them... :)
MPX-1 takes 1 second to switch (not 3). I just got one and will probably use it for home studio duty.
