Lion's Claw Routing

I am going to purchase this basswood JEM body for a swirl project. However it doesn't have the Lions Claw by the trem cavity. What tools do I need to do this? Anyone know a turorial somewhere?

Check projectguitar.com there is a tutorial somewhere there.

Kind Regards

André
Cheers Andre. And for anyone else thinking of it, it's here -> http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/trem.htm

I don't think it actually does anything. The claw makes the routing longer than needs be so it wouldn't affect the trem at all. But it does look great and is a true characteristic of a JEM. So it has no uses but gives you a nice feeling knowing it's there! yey rock on Ibanez!
The lion's claw was for deep pull-up clearance of the screws on the back of the original Edge, which stuck out much farther than on the Lo Pro or the Edge Pro. Now it's really a cosmetic thing ... unless you want an original Edge.
100% cosmetic on every ibanez from day-1 :)

(on his non-floating non-ibanez axes it was as stated above, to help pullup)... glen
I have just done this mod, using the project guitar tutorial. It is pretty easy if you take your time.

If you need any help or advice, just let me know. I must admit I thought about starting a rg to jem modding business, as so many people want this. But I thought that I would be ejected from jemsite for heresy:)
Cool! Don't know if I'd have the guts(or brains) to try it, but cool!
I just did this mod as well. I would give the advice, Take Your Time. I even practiced a few times on a blank. If you feel you are gettin frustrated walk away. You will grin from ear to ear when you get it though. Feels pretty cool to do it your self, and you can save a crap load of money. good luck, and like nickcoumbe said if you need any help let me know. chef21
all you have to do is get lion claw stickers and slap them on there
