I've got an Ibanez Jem7DBK. I foolishly cut the strings without releasing the tension and the bridge has snapped back and has "sunk" into the body and when I push the trem bar down it kind of moves forwards and "klinks".
What's happened and how do I fix it?

Yes. Make sure the knife edges are in the post grooves, and string it up. You should be fine.

it will klink as the knife edges are making contact with the v groove in the posts, put a block bedind the trem so that the float level is good, then string it back up and you should be fine.

I've tried that. Pt some strings on it and when I depress the bar the bridge leaps out of the bridge-cutaway and is on a ridiculous angle to the body

Have you changed string gauge? Have you altered the spring tention at the back of the guitar? Best to double check the bridges knife edges are in good contact with the v groove of the trem posts. Make sure the posts are locked if possible. Also check the knife edges have't moved, as they can be repositioned to the left or right when the trem is off.

Check to see if any of the springs came off.
