Is there really a difference in tone with a mahogany body Jem vs a mahogany body / maple top jem body?

Bolt-on aanj neck, maple w/ ebony fretboard. Brass block will be blocked with a piece of mahogany so that lo-pro will be dive only.

Depends entirely on the thickness of the top. If you use a 3mm veneer then you won't hear jack ****. If you use a 14mm thick top you'll hear a brighter guitar.
