Be interesting to see who gets what from his dwindled empire. I'm looking at YOU, Beatles catalog! That's if he still owned it...I really don't recall if he dumped it at some point.

I'm gonna guess that it was barbituate abuse.
It's just sad that he leaves behind small children. And whats worse is the things that are gonna be heard by those kids.

His legacy will be Child Molestor, weirdo, drug abuser.

Sounds like someone could use some lessons in music history.

One of the greatest artists the world has ever seen. Like his music or not, he made it time after time, and it made it to the top. Countless musicians and dancers were influenced by him. The musical world would surely be different without his music.

Acknowledging his talents won't ruin your shred pose. If anything, it will broaden your musical knowledge, and make you better. It's a time for everything. Now it's the time to say
R.I.P.

i know my music history but never been into the mass hysteria of pop culture. I acknowledge what he's done but in the same breathe think to the genre's of music i listen to and follow there are far more important figure's. I'm a little sad that a 20th century icon has gone, but so many before him also have. I think what i'm trying to get at is he's done so little for such along time and made such a pleb out of himself that eventually he became a parody. You'd be very suprised who i have little or no time for as far as so called musical legends go. It's nothing to do with kudos, just to do with opinion. But we all know what opinions are like, don't we? lol!

Is it benediction? nah, just kidding! it was mj of course, its not a great reflection of how good an artist is though, it is however a good indicator of radioplay, exposure, P.R and public opinion. Pop culture. As it was pointed out on waynes world "led zeppelin didn't write music that everyone liked, that was left to the beatles"

I never cared for him as an artist or as a human being, but I think a lot of what he did was because of all the leeches and hangers on that surrounded him like piranhas.

But I do respect what he did, how well he did it, and how influential he was. Most known person on the planet for a very long time and quite possibly still. Like it or not, it is damn impressive what he accomplished in his life.

what a naturally gifted artistic talent gone to complete shambles & waste. it's sad but i think he might as well have been dead for the last 15+ years now living in anguish (surgery-addict, pill addict, fear of everything) & as an abused child (so he says) and child abuser ($22million payout for child abuse). tragic. RIP can't be more fitting.... hopefully he's more peaceful & purposeful in his next life. how could he not .. glen
