They are reporting he wasn't breathing when the ambulances got there, but you never know with his publicity machine...

Hey Glen, lets hope he learned what he was suppose to so he can live differently.
Anyways, metaphysics aside, he definitely was one of the best dancers I have ever seen. Its tragic but let this be a lesson to all of us in his odd behavior, you force your kids to do gigs in strip bars, they will have problems later in life no matter how much money they make.
Unbelieveable talent, one of the best of all time. I loved watching him dance and perform. A lot more bands, Stones, Beatles, Led Zep etc. etc. etc. had more hit albums and maybe more singles (Mariah Carey), but he struck fast and hard and influenced so many people so quickly in many different areas of entertainment. He was great and will be missed. I did like him. I also always hoped he would come back with some of his flare from the '80s and early '90s. But his music did get weak later on.

Yes he was a very strange man, so what, he was very odd, but VERY talented!

R.I.P MJ!
($22million payout for child abuse
Is that amount confirmed? I don't believe so. Probably speculated.
I'm gonna guess that it was barbituate abuse.
It's just sad that he leaves behind small children. And whats worse is the things that are gonna be heard by those kids.

His legacy will be Child Molestor, weirdo, drug abuser.
Drugs, yes I believe. However, that will not be his legacy, don't be stupid!

Sounds like someone could use some lessons in music history.

Acknowledging his talents won't ruin your shred pose. If anything, it will broaden your musical knowledge, and make you better. It's a time for everything. Now it's the time to say
R.I.P.
Agreed +100000.
His legacy will DEFINTELY be that of a child abuser, drug abuser and freak. To think otherwise is totally naive. Mich called this one spot on. The hero worship will shine the brightest for days, but when that light dims, his enormous personality flaws will be all that remain. Not everyone is in love with the persona he loved to sell to people, and far fewer people bought it.
But again, I feel sad for the children who only knew him (and nannies) because HE REFUSED to allow them to have a mother in their lives. They are deserving of ALL the sympathy they receive. I really feel bad for them, and the family, but Michael - I wouldn't have trusted my kids with him for 2 minutes. And that has nothing to do with how much we all liked "A-B-C" by the Jackson 5. That was awesome, but it was just a damn song, that's it.
Here, check this out. Katt Williams, a very funny comedian, giving a perpective I can completely relate to. And the only thing I'll be surprised about when it comes out that drugs were the cause of death was that his family couldn't buy a more respectable outcome from the California coroners on the case.
I'm sorry he's passed away, but I think it will free the people around him to have more normal lives. His life was SO BIG, and so different from what anyone else would see as normal, that this will bring a freedom - however painful that freedom may be. My best wishes to all the survivors of the Michael Jackson effect.

NEGATIVE! Loved forever he will remain. Those bad parts of his life are small considering what he has given to the world. You are very naive! Will people remeber all the bad and freakish things, yes, I do. He was weird, but also a genius. The latter will prevail!
MJ was the first artist I was a fan of. I was only 4/5 at the time and was growing up in the UK. I tried copying one of his moves and ended up with a nasty scrape on my nose.

Didn't care much of his projects from then on but was saddened with the way he became. What's sad is that there was the faintest glimmer of hope that with his upcoming shows he would elevate himself, if only ever slightly, in the eyes of the public.

RIP Michael. You were one of the greatest artist in the 20th century but your legen was completely ruined with your antics.

I think that for most of the people, he's gonna be a legend in what he was best at, which is incredible singing and one of the best dancer, those two combined into perfect stage expressions and "entertaining factor".
I believe this is a sad day!! I cant help but hum along to his songs when they get played on the radio!! ...and hes worked with some awesome musicians...slash,evh,steve stevens to name a few..... weird he was, missed he will be!!
R.I.P :(
maybe hes above the clouds jammin with hendrix, rhoads and dime...now that would be an interesting mix!!!!
Got a real shock when I flicked on the news this morning. A real shame. I'm a shred/neoclassical fan but I quite liked his music.

R.I.P Michael.
A sad day, but not for long - Glen's comment about finally having some peace is about right

I can't help having a chuckle for the guy at my office who was trying to sell 2 Wembley concert tickets for £2000. I guess that little investment plan didn't quite go to plan :D
i think his death has been driven, not a casualty. also, Sony Entertainment had a BIG, enormous, overwhelming role in the ruin of his life.
Ive been getting heaps of text messages of real tasteless jokes......

As a father of 4, i agree, Glen said it earlier, 15 odd years without anything but repeated accusations (there is no smoke without fire)

I wont shed a tear, everyone mentions the Kids, i hate to say it, and be the realist, but they are 100% better off without him in their lives, now they can live a life worth living and breathe, do what other children do.

it's hard to separate the music genius that he clearly was, and the detached and downright bizarre person he actually seemed to become.

However some see him as almost a god, as such will not listen to the bad, only the good, your well entitled to that view.

I'll leave with the emotionless Jermain, who seemed to, well, not be very surprised or upset, RIP MJ or as many are speculating, he's got his feet up on an island without having to do the stressfull concerts and has all his money troubles sorted.

Hate me all you like, i'll never shy away from defending what i FEEL

Peace
