michael jackson donated $300 million dollars to charities. and uhh he went to local hospitals and orphanages as much as he went to stadiums for touring.I too was going to choose the, "Both suck. Go listen to metal option."
But Elvis didn't suck. I don't like his music at all but he didn't suck. He had nothing on the likes of Chuck Berry (The real King of Rock) or Little Richard (The Queen of Rock), but he didn't suck.
Michael Jackson...well he is the "Self-Proclaimed King of Pop." I think that says it all. He's music sucks and he was an arrogant douchebag.

they both suffered alot.chose both great with the edge to Elvis! I think that while they both had great affect as cultural icons, had about the same amount of musical ability, absolutely were dependent upon their producers, and yet transcended all that to become larger than life! Elvis however never had a backlash like what MJ had endured, and also never had the musical down times where he wasn't very popular...After Michaels Black And White song he kind of went away and entered into a non popular phase for many reasons...Elvis had freaky things he did like fly 15 people 5 States away and order a bacon peanut butter sandwich...Michael underwent all kinds of surgery and mental things. Elvis married a little girl with parental consent-MJ allegedly did little children and settled out of court with their parents...
I like Elvis, and loved Michael Jackson as performers! As people maybe not so much!
As a child Michael had one of the most beautiful vibratos, that he seemed to lose later on in life...
however, think about this: you are a mom/dad. your child says your next door neighbour had molested him. What would you do? You would call the cops right away. What did the alledger's parents do? sue jackson for millions of dollars that would take years to take. Seriously, thats not realistic.
and also he didnt sleep with the boys. he gave the bed to the child. he slept on the floor. how can you molest someone if you are like far away...
also, the day the person "was molested", michael jackson was in a different country. how can he molest someone from thousands of miles away XD?
i knowI wrote he alledgedly did children...Just being accused is enough of a headache for anyone! Whether he did or didn't, the fact that he wanted to hang with little children was just creepy! Doesn't mean he did anything but the fact remains he was an absolutely freaky, creepy, disturbed, emotionally stunted individual. I would never have let my children be alone with him. However I don't leave my children alone with anyone...I don't feel I said anything wrong, as I was not accusing him of anything, because you asked us not to do so. I respected your feelings and didn't get into a bashing MJ thing. You should probably understand that on a guitar related forum most guys won't give a patootie about MJ, or his memory, except for his Eddie Van Halen/Jennifer Batten/Slash connection. It would be nice if your banner waving pro Michael rhetoric wasn't done so much in a way to convince us of his innocence, which in doing so seems inappropriate and in a bashing way...
