How effective would a multimedia review section be?

I was wondering how you guys feel about having an area dedicated to gear sound samples? Users post the equiptment they're reviewing, how they recorded it (and what gear used), and offer several sound samples; reviews would have to be complete, meeting standards. Also, photos would be posted, and they must look as close as possible to how the gear looks in person (lighting wise).

For example, if your reviewing a guitar...
One clip would be all clean tones, in each switched position, with rythm playing. The next would be distorted tones in each position, with rythm playing.
Next would be clean tones, leads, followed by distorted tones, leads.

Guildlines would obviously need to be developed by the community, because it'd be important that listings would be complete, such as standards for recording. i.e., no band practice demos done on cassette tape to demonstrate a new guitar or pickup.

Several templates could be designed for categories. i.e. download and fill out the pickup template, to post review of pickup. Template could have common questions, and reminders of what to record. Ya know, a basic word doc. Audio file format, and bitrate would be important as well...

I figured this was worth mentioning, only because I know personally, I would check it out all the time before placing orders for gear. Let me know what you think. Suggestions?
