When i sit or stand with strap and play my acoustic guitar and sing my whole body shakes a bit as if the same momentum from my hand is transferred to my whole body.

I am using thin/light guitar picks for strumming.

As i strum the guitar my head and shoulders and whole body also moving/shaking a bit and it doesn't look good.

I am having thin personality that could be the reason or am i strumming too rigid with my right hand ? but my hand has that motion around the elbow its not that my arm/elbow is fixed and i am moving only wrist.

my strumming loudness is about right, what can i do to overcome this within 2 weeks cos I have a performance and i want to perform with confidence.

Please suggest.

I am actually a beginner and its been 5 months since practice and i bought a strap recently like 2 weeks ago.

I saw some cover songs of people on YouTube i see that their shoulder is not shaking only they are moving their hand as a point from their elbow, but where as i am moving whole my hand from the shoulder part while i am strumming, i don't know whether i have developed a bad strumming habit especially strumming with strap on because i stand up, but where as when i sit as my hand is rest on the guitar body i don't shake my shoulder but only my hand from the elbow point.

Stay relaxed and don't put too much mental pressure on yourself.
Relaxed grip, hands and your body is the key! Don't put tension in any of your muscles.
Enjoy what you're doing with minimal force and as less amplitude in your right hand as possible.
But be prepared that it might take years to get to that state of playing...
