Hello,

I'd need help identifying if this guitar I recently bought really has an original Ibanez USA Custom body or not.

The neck is clearly custom made but the seller claimed that the body is a modified (piezo) Ibanez USA Custom exotic wood series from the early nineties.

Anyhow, there's a couple of things that I find strange and make me wonder if this is actually just a custom luthier made body instead of original Ibby:

The guitar has two jem style jacks. No jack hole on the bottom of the body. Did any USA Custom have a jem style jack?

The arm contour doesn't match any other Ibanez body that I have; it's much less contoured measuring about 1.4 inches at the thinnest point.

Any opinions about this? Could it be Ibanez or just a random custom made body?

All the guitars featured there have the HSH config while your's has a H/H.

I cannot be sure if the link I posted is the complete UCEW range though.

Yeah, that's a good point. At least I don't remember seeing any H/H UCEWs.

Here's one H-S-S though, but is it actually UCEW, USRG or maybe just a custom made body with UCGR neck...?

I have seen a US Custom Shop with the HH and a top like that.
But it was back a few years ago. It didn't have the upside down neck or a fretboard like that one.

My guess would be a custom body as the jem style sunken jacks are not on any rg bodied double edge i've seen personally, and the position of the black piezo button isn't quite where I would have expected it to be either. My only other thought is 'could' it be a LACs body? Not sure if there would be any markings on the body under the neck pocket to help identify it.

this is not from the early ninethees.its remake for sure..see the input.and the body form isnt right...it can be a lacs..but i gues its remake.see the stamp in the neck pocket to be sure...

I checked the neck pocket; no markings whatsoever:

I really doubt it's LACS. Also the tremolo block routing seems to be little off (too wide), check the screw holes on the right:
