anyone having some Info on that guitar? I only found one page on jemsite with specs indicating that it really existed. Even in old cataloges I could not find anything about the guitar.
Was it maybe produced in too small numbers to be listed ? Would be thankfull if someone could help.

why wouldnt I see it in catalogues?
catalogues from 1997 can be found and (other) j.customs are in there.

what is strange is the serial. in front of the Fxxxxxxx, there is another 6 digit „97xxxx“ straight in line but looks like stamped and not like the printed Fxxxxxxx number. I think to remember having seen something like that on a JPM few years ago.
the 1908 was one of those guitars built Sith fingerboard with quilted maple venneer, I think this was not too often used on other ibanez Guitars?

You are absolutely right, several J Customs weren’t in catalogues as they were ‘spot run’ guitars, so produced in small batches, sometimes exclusive to a particular dealer and so didn’t make it into the actual print catalogue.

I’m not aware really of the 1908 myself, but a quilted maple does sound like a rare thing!
