Is the RGD7321 a mahogany or basswood body? I think Ibanez could do with an entry-level fixed bridge RG7 with a mahogany body that's NOT the Apex2. This RGD looks cool. Or maybe a 7 string version of the RG321MH's?

The premium's don't look half bad, the finishes look crazily awesome, the purple quilt: Oh my god.

But I'd much rather they were MIJ, so I'd have no real risk in buying one blind. Also, I don't think I'd enjoy the Edge Zero II bridge at all.

Everyone's loving the new use of RGDs, but all I want is to have a prestige fixed RGA again.

Yeah not gonna lie, love the 8250ZDY but it's been talked bout for a while. The other new one I really like is the 470MHZ Since I saw the 321M I always like it but wanted a trem with HSH. I might be buying 2 guitars next year.

Well, Im glad I didnt wait for Ibanez to release a new V , looks like my 30 year old rocket roll II was a great buy after all.

Im not to excited about the lineup, but I would buy the RG3250MZ DY - nice to see the matching headstock. Lets hope the fireman appears, and at a reasonable price :)

Me too. As I said in another thread somewhere, I saw Korn live a few weeks ago and Munky used a pair of these all night and I fell in love with them. I'd love to get one, wallet willing.
It's funny that it took so long to come around. The original one like that is actually one of the first customs made for him when Korn got their deal with Ibanez. The guitar has been around since around the end of the Peachy era.

I have the current one and love it, so this one will no doubt be cool too. (for me anyway) Different body wood and single coil in the neck will make for some nice alternate tones. I don't even play Korn stuff on mine. It's just a great guitar in general.

I always thought the worst thing about the K7 was that it was blatantly associated with the artists by that inlay (Look at the JS1000BP, it could be just another superstrat) . If it had had a more generic inlay, I think it would have been "the" 7 string to have in its hayday.

Looking forward to trying the new one.

Yes, yes! Many endorsed artists seem to shoot themselves in the foot like this. The firespeak blue K7 would be perfect sans the "K7" inlay. The MTM1 model in red would be perfect if it didn't have the damned "SEVEN" inlay on the neck. Some artists should consider that while we may not be fans of their music, we might really like how they design their sig. I guess some artists think the only people who will buy them are people trying to imitate them. I think the new APEX will do pretty well.
