Hello. I'm a Guitar Technician working in Suffolk on a full range of guitars. Ibanez is a difficult instrument to repair without very specialised knowledge, so I'm hoping there might be some help around when needed.
Thanks all

What's up!!!
Tim Rapa from Westfield, Massachusetts USA.
My very first guitar unfortunately wasn't an Ibanez, it was a star shaped Mako I got for Christmas. I was 11. My younger sister snuck into my room and accidentally knocked it over cracking the headstock. I was devastated!! I had a paper route at the time and made it my mission to save up enough money to buy my own. The Gem just came out and I was fascinated by it but, the price was steep, and then the RG550 came out. Basically a Jem with lesser quality pups, no monkey grip or scalloped bridge cavity. I still have my 87RG 550. It's Black with a black headstock and a maple neck. I think these are somewhat rare because they were never in the catalog for 1987. Anyways I love it it's an amazing guitar

Hi all of you !

A long time ago, some friend of mine send me a video tape of the movie "crossroads"... and it changed my vision of our instrument. I'm the lucky owner of an UV 7PWH ( since 1992 ), a jem 777 lng, a Washburn nextar with HB Seymour Duncan and Bill Evans, and an homemade Frankenstrat. Very pleased to join...

Hello!
My name is Seba, (Short for Sebastian) Lhoraxe is my typical online alias, a reference to a certain Depressed orange fuzzy hippie, which defines the tones I Often enjoy most. I'm a recording musician.
Came here because I just purchased my first Ibanez, (AZ prestige) and I don't see myself ever buying a different guitar again. Love it enough to want to be a part of a community that loves these as much as I do, but also in a dilemma with it, which I will save for my next and immediate post.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hello everyone! My name is Bill and I've been lurking these forums for the last week or so. I live in PA, USA and I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first Ibanez.

I can't get anything locally any more. Every Ibanez I've had the chance to try out in the past had felt great in my hands. After some searching and research I decided to buy my first JEM from Rich Harris at ibanezrules.com.

I'm really excited to get this guitar. I've always wanted a JEM for years and now I can finally buy one without worrying about what I just spent.

Ok, so I bought the premium version. The MIJ version is still out of my price range. I've always set up my own guitars. However after learning of Rich's reputation for perfection and quality I have no doubt it will be the best guitar I own to date.

It's not gonna be here for at least a couple weeks, but I can't stop thinking about it!

I correctly own a studio les paul(wine and gold hardware), a mim fender strat(wine with pearl pick gaurd, gotoh wilkinson bridge, lsr roller but, locking tuners), a PRS Tremonti SE(stock) and a couple cheaper acoustics from ovation and Washburn. I'll be glad to get Ibanez in the mix.

Hello All, My name is Steve. Live in Victoria, Australia. Been playing guitar on and off over the last 20 years but have been back into it for a solid 2 years now and just acquired my first Ibanez, decided to join after lurking these forums for a long time now.
Mainly into 80s and 90s metal, fusion and rock. Look forward to learning even more about Ibanez guitars and hoping to snag myself a nice 90s MIJ RG in the not too distant future!

Howdy folks, very new to this forum and new to guitar as well. I am over 50 and have this unfulfilled desire to learn and play the guitar. I paid an advance for the Ibanez Pia 3761 SLW. I had a few electric guitars on my mind including the PRS McCarty 594, PRS Custom 22 or 24 and one or two models from the Gibson LP Custom series lineup. Finally, went with the Pia. I do not know whether Pia should be some one's first guitar but I thought rather than upgrading from a few beginner guitars it might be better to go for a quality instrument. According to the dealer It might take 60 to 90 days for the instrument to arrive. Kindly suggest some good online resources for beginners. Not interested in learning too much theory though. I would appreciate any help in selecting an Amplifier and other related stuff.

Looking forward to learn from all ye fine members here. Name's Nobby and I live in India.

Welcome, the PIA is an excellent choice ! I play mine through a Line6 Helix in 12' Headrush boxes.
Cheers !
Thank you, Wolfgang, for the welcome and the Pia is indeed solidly built and would most certainly outlive me! Appreciate the Amp suggestion. I shall do my research and get back with the inferences that I would make. Thanks, once again.

Hi all!
I'm new to Ibanez guitars, having picked up a 90s lefty TL bass a few months ago. I was reminded how I'd always wanted an RG so I started searching for a MIJ lefty. I just found a 2002 RG for sale locally. The seller said it was an RG1570 but I think it's an RG470. Either way it was a great deal and a really well made guitar. I'm glad this resouce is available!
