Very pretty indeed!

Just thought of something tho. Should the Premium threads be in the "Other" section? They're not JC's, USAC's, or Prestiges. And if we're going to accept an Indo series as being at that level of craftsmanship, doesn't that upset the space time continuum? ;)

does country of origin really matter when looking objectively at craftsmanship? Indo... japanese.. american... if its the same standard, then it can be grouped together. USAC's are NOT in the same league as JC's, nor are prestige's...

All of the other "Premium" threads were in here with the J-Custom, USA Custom & Prestige models, so that's why this one's in here. At some point, we'll figure a proper place. Regardless of origin, these "should" be categorized in this section based on craftsmanship, etc.

Gorgeous dude. Not sure about the neck binding but that's just me. Hate when it yellows.

Where's the review Bat????
I got it last night at about 7 pm. Unpacked it, then was able to spend about 30 minutes playing it. I need to do a very thorough review on this, and will be doing a video with it. Might not have time until the weekend....we'll see. I'm anxious to get the review posted for you guys. As far as the binding, it's maple wood, not plastic. I hate plastic binding.

The purple was a no-brainer--I have 6 other purple Ibbies...

Yes, it's quite stunning. Here I've been defending Indo's for years and now everyone loves Indo guitars; many without even playing one.
Call me a skeptic but Indo's were the red-headed stepchild not long ago. :D
Maybe I'll swing by the Sam Ash this weekend and see if they have one in.

I agree........ but there's a LONG distance between these guitars and the 350's, this is also the first time the Indo's have had a decent (hopefully) trem.

Not trying to stir up the craftsmanship debate, guys. Was poking a little fun at that fact that everybody's so excited about an Indo product for the first time in, well, ever! From what I can SEE (but haven't played yet), they look REALLY nice, and the finishing looks great! Like I said before, if they'd put an Edge on them, it'd be PURE win. That said, the PGMs, JPMs, etc are considered higher end, but they usually go in the "Other" forum too.

Some members have significantly boosted their post count by telling other members to post their threads in the appropriate forum, so this is my one for the year. ;) But I was only teasing anyway.

I'm really eager to hear how the guitar plays out and see how the new factory is working.

Although If Alaska's review is as good as I'm expecting....It will speak quite well for the upcoming FRM's
Did it come out that the Fireman was going to be built at the Premium facility? I gotta start paying more attention...

It's just educated speculation.

Unless someone knows for sure, in which case, post away! I still want a Fujigen-made Fireman, but I won't be surprised if it's made at the new Info factory.

Peace

Mike

I always posted about my 6 ESP LTD indonesian guitars.
I always said they're great guitars and play just like prestiges.
In fact my rg prestige 1527 is 4 years old and I use it only in the studio but I had to exchange its volume pot and pup switch.
I have those LTD since 2003 and play at least 2 gigs with them every week,NEVER had a problem.
Here =

Indo LTD = 450 dollars
Rg prestige = 2500 dollars + 400 dollars(2 dimarzios) .

Do the math,it plays good but I'm nowhere happy with my prestige cause its price is higher than its quality.Crap pots/switch on a prestige = lame.
Besides that I noticed its painting is extremelly thin, only by scratching my clothes, its border right behind the bridge have some spots without paint = LAME

So my indo LTDs have more quality than my prestige and play the same way but price is really lower.
Guess which one I prefer ;)

I do hear what 6fingers is saying. I've only had Indo-made guitars and my current RGA 42 is amazing. I sold my old one because the cheap trem was maddening, but everything else was great. So I bought a fixed bridge--problem solved! I love my Indo RG, if prestiges really ARE so much better, they must be pretty darn amazing!
