Interesting. I suppose being from Colorado it's a bit tougher because all we ever had were the Broncos for years and years. You guys grew up with Hockey , I grew up with football. We FINALLY got a hockey team a few years ago (well, I spose about 7 or so) I am statring to get into it and learn the game, but I don't think it'll ever replace football for me.

Hurling is the oldest celtic sport.

Back in the day it was used to sort out fights between rival clans, instead of battle. But hurling was orignally very brutal and there were to main aims of the game, to score and to kill. Killing still actually had to be done inside rules though.

When they phased out the killing and the brutality, what they were left with was one of the fastest pace and most entertaining sports in the world.

My hand-eye coordination sucks bar my guitar playing, so I suck at it, but its a great sport. And no stupid safety gear.

Last season was called off due to a lack of any real interest (on the part of the players and owners apparently). And it would be fine by me if next season was cancelled too. It justs ruins Sportcenter ;)

For the record though, all professional players, especially those that command the highest salaries, are going to have to get over their greed or they run the risk of ruining their prospective sports.

NFL all the way for me!
We dont really get much NHL on television over here in the UK. Whereas with NFL we get the usual games every week. I really love it actually, it just adds something different to watching our football over here (soccer).
