Includes a generic hard case, no trem bar. I have no experience with these necks. I have until Sunday to decide. I haven't played one. Unfortunately it's overseas so I can't do a test drive. Pros and cons appreciated...

I would do it, but that's just me. I've lusted after the USRGs for a long time.

I've heard reports of issues with the tension-free neck, though. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

I had two and sold them both quickly. I hated the design of the neck. IMO there are much better guitars out there for the money.

I used to have an USRG30TP with a killer quilt top but its playability and sound didn't hold up to the expectations.

I had a USRG30BT. Neck just didn't work as claimed. It was out of adjustment constantly and the fretwork from the factory was garbage. The guitar was basically unplayable out of the box. There's a whole story about the president of Hoshino getting his hands on one and canceling the whole line.

The tops were also generally not great compared with their claimed grade. AAA tops were generally felt to be no better than AA. Mine had a fairly decent one.

That story is pretty cool. Happy Mr. Hoshino punted that line out of existence with all the problems it seems to have.
