I'm getting ready to replace the pickups in my 2003 PGM30 in the next week or so. So far the best option I've come up with is to put PAF Pros in the bridge and neck, and possibly a Fast Track 2 or something like that in the middle. The PGM30 is already a very trebly (is that a word?) guitar so I was thinking that the PAf Pros might calm it down a bit and give it a bit more personality. I've already got several guitars with high output bridge pickups, so the medium-output level of the PAF Pro in the bridge wouldn't be much of an issue; just something to fool around with when I don't want to go full-on shred, heh. So, what do you guys think? Am I on the right track here?

Well said. I think I'm going to go for it, but first I'll probably change out the pickups in my 450S for an Air Norton and a D Sonic. For some reason I'm really warming to the idea of having a bunch of guitars that all have a different pickup configuration. Of course, now it's time for the all important question:

What colour? Should I change the colour of my switch and knobs too? (I'm kidding, pink all the way on the PGM) On the subject, I just stuck a white Evo set into a black RG with a maple board; I wasn't sure at first but I'm liking the colour combination quite a bit! If it was an off white it wouldn't have worked so well but the bright white that DiMarzio uses looks pretty good. I can't really say the same for the yellow chopper I bought for my 550DY, though; luckily DiMarzio were cool enough to send me a replacement cover in a colour of my choice.
