Hi,

I bought a late 80's second hand guitar and I'm trying to identify the neck pickup. There aren't any marking on the pickup, can anyone tell me what it is if they recognise it? I've attached a few photos.

On the first look, it looks like Ibanez V5, but upper closer inspection it's not that. V5 has asymmetrical mount - 2 screws on one side and 1 on the other and there are four screws on the backplate. Maybe some V5-clone.

EDIT: Just notice yours also has 4 screws, but still it looks kinda different.

You could measure the DC resistance and tell us the result, that might help.

Thanks for the replies. Yep it does look similar to the Ibanez V5 but not quite the same.

I've measured the dc resistance and its coming in at 7.88, does that help?
