Hi all,
I did this to my S540 about a year ago because the original black finish was cracking, and I was super happy with the results. It's actually a two piece mahogany body, but the join is really hard to see so it looks like one piece. I also moved the volume pot because I kept knocking it when I was playing, and replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan S5.
Cheers,
Rich

All of them IIRC. There's also a S7420FM, but that one is pretty rare I believe. The 540S7 and S540-7 are the same guitar, only with old and new name.

The S7420 was as common as any other. You probably don't come across them too often today as it was the last Japanese made S7, so owners stick to them not having any other newer/better option.
