Hello Jemsite! :D

I've gone searching across the internet to find a number of virtual guitar building websites, and here's what I've come up with.

http://www.jemsite.com/vrg/
Jemsite's very own Virtual RG Builder, designed by Jemsite member Valdex. The builder is based around the standard RG, but it can be modified into a JEM or even a Voyager! Easy to use with good results.

http://www.nymphusa.com/tele/ (then click on "KISEKAE Virtual Guitar Modeling System")
This virtual guitar builder covers famous models from many brands, such Fender's Stratocaster and Telecaster, Gibson's Les Paul and SG, Ibanez' RG and JEM, and Jackson's RR and Soloist, along with a number of others.

http://www.frankmontag.com/hobbys/custom_lp_style_guitar.htm
Probably the most realistic guitar builder of them all, with tonnes of options and photo-realistic results. All based around the Les Paul, but in fact more similar to the Ibanez ART Series.

http://www.fupa.com/play/Customize-free-games/Dream-Guitar-Builder.html
This one is just a cartoonish game one, but if you want to have a quick 5 minute break, it will do fine.

http://www.mguitar.com/guitars/custom/custombuild.php
Allows you to build your own custom Martin acoustic, and if you're really suffering a bad case of G.A.S. afterwards, you can order for your design to be built for real.

http://www.peavey.com/products/custom.cfm
Allows you to design your own Peavey electric guitar, bass, guitar game controller or even amplifier! The first custom guitar designer I ever came across.

http://www.theguitarfiles.com/guitardesign/
Allows you to build the body of a Stratocaster or Les Paul. Sem-realistic.

http://www.jcfonline.com/resources/csgen/SoloistCustomShop.htm
Lets you build your own Jackson Soloist. I would give more info but I need the new version of Flash…

http://www.jarosguitars.com/CustomMadeGuitars/unfinished_quote.php?id=7
Fairly realistic, with a number of options available.

http://www.ruokangas.com/ (then click "Features" in menu bar, then "Virtual Workshop")
Design a handmade "Ruokangas" guitar. Very easy to use with fairly good results.

http://www.vintagerocker.com/bodybuilder/index.html
Design a PRS single-cutaway guitar. Slightly limited but result turned out ok.

Try them out! My best suggestions are numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5.

Enjoy!

Might be quite the necrobump, but I wish the VRG builder had more modern options...like to make it an RGD, and different looking pickups.

You can only expect so much man, maybe attempt learning photoshop. It's really an amazing program if you know how to use it.

Since this thread has risen from the dead once again, I might as well inform you all that the Frankmontag guitar builder (by far the most versatile and realistic, but sadly Ibanez-less) now features both the Les Paul AND the SG body shapes, and has been relocated to:

http://www.frankmontag.com/

While there are no Ibby's properly available, you can choose to have a sharp single cutaway on the Les Paul shape, which will effectively turn your design into an Ibanez ART series :)
