I was told when i bought it like 5 or 7 years ago that it was an original RG 770. I bought it from some guitar center in new jersey off of there auction website. I really want to know though from people who know what they are talking about what it really is, and possibly what its worth. I got a really high offer for it once, like a week after i got it, but i was 15 and i was like old man get away from my guitar.

Well I think it would be pretty obvious that a rg770 with a paintjob like that would fetch the same as a 770, its like painting or souping your motorcycle or car, it doesn't really add that much value but to your wallet it made a significant dent most of the time.

Plus many people probably won't like the paint, especially in the Ibanez community, because it looks more like a jackson with the flames haha

I love 770's. It may help people here value the guitar if you could include your location in your profile as well coop. Guitar prices do vary somewhat depending if you are Usa or European based for instance. I'll second what newbieguitarmaker and Jack Secret have said. It's not an Ibanez paint job and yes the whole thing now reeks of a Jackson big time. The first thing a real Ibanez enthusiast would do is to get rid of the paintjob. It's akin to having a monkey grip on a Jackson Soloist, not the done thing! Still it won't detract too much from it's value. Put it like this if the price were right I'd buy it but it would be straight off to the nearest custom shop for a respray. Great guitar though, a real quality Ibanez the 770.
