I'm interested in what people have to say comparing reissue ibanez to the originals, especially the rg550, but also others. The newer models are different in that the neck is built with more pieces to prevent warpage and cracks that the origionals are known for... so that is an obvious improvement. What I am wondering is what else is there? Tonewise, which ones sound better? Would a late 80s Fujijen rg550 sound better than a reissue one? BTW are the reissues made in Fujijen? I would love to hear from someone who has both old and new/reissue guitars.
