what skins said and let me add...
providing your guitar is currently setup correctly the trem should be sitting pretty level with the body. make a mental note of where it sits before doing this spring removal and also TUNE your guitar prior to doing this.
Carefully remove the spring and be careful not to scratch the crap out your axe.
once removed the guitar will be out of tune and the trem will be sitting up at an angle.
Screw the claw screws further into the body a little at a time checking the tuning and the trem angle as you go. once you get it right, the guitar should be pretty close to in tune and the trem angle will be back to where it was before.
