Hi all, i have always used a trem-stopper on my floyds i.e making it dive only by locking the springs down against it.
Recently i decided i wanted to turn my guitar into a hardtail. I have it locked against the trem stopper as always, but now i have also used wood shims and put them in against the BACK side of the trem block too.
Is it safe now to remove all my strings at once when i do fret care and string changes etc? Im assuming the trem stopper will be taking the load of all the springs?
Thanks so much in advance guys.
