You're going to need to tell us what trem it is so we know what you have. It will say on the baseplate or block, depending on the model.

 

Does your guitar have a jackplate around the output jack, or does it have the barrel type jack? Pics would really help, so go get 6 more posts so you can put some pics up.

I dont think so, since it says the model name on the baseplate. And im sure the OP would have seen it and posted it already. Could be wrong though.

Yep it's an Edge trem. What you really need to do, is yank it out of that guitar and mail it to me direct. I'll even pay the shipping. You'll be much better off with a Schaller Floyd Rose.

Yeah sorry, was at work posting from my iPhone. My initial attempt to post had everything, but Opera Mobile screwed up. I had to type it again, and didn't pay proper attention to what i wrote.

But yeah, just file the knife edges back to shape. Follow the tutorial RGTFanatic posted.

I have an old RG550 MIJ I believe... Ibanez Knife Edge... I want need to replace the whole thing and prolly some NEW and extra nut clamps too.

 

Hey, did you read through the thread? You are likely going to be able to file the knife edges back into shape and be ready to go.
