Hi all! I have a 1990 540s that I was thinking of replacing the neck on. Will I have any issues with a Warmoth? Just to recap.. the body is a square heel and the original neck was 22 frets... I am thinking I should be fine but wanted to confirm first..

A 22 fret strat style heal neck will fit on your S series in general. You should be fine.

I did the same thing with a 1988 540 radius and a 1999 js100. The neck pockets do not fit quite as tight... But they are pretty close. Don't skimp out on stainless frets!!! It's worth the $35 option. I still regret not doing that with my radius. I did it with the js100's neck. I should have done a roasted maple neck... But oh well. The stainless frets are amazing.
