So pardon the necro-bump, but I thought I'd finally give an update on this baby!
Back in October, Ryan at ESP USA worked his magic on my JS.
His pics:
And I must say, he absolutely knocked it out of the park. It's a dream come true. I've always wanted a JS and now I have one, and a very unique one at that.
This guitar is very different than what I prefer normally. But it is also very different from the RGs of my youth. The neck is so comfortable and effortless to play. I love noodling on this baby.
The pickups are the good old PAF Pro and FRED. The newer Joe pickups intrigue me, but I am unsure if I'd make a change.
Anyway, just wanted to share the finished product with you all. I have attached some of my own shots as well. Cheers all.

But I don't know that I'll go down that road. Not yet anyway.
