Retrofitting Edge-Pro or Lo Pro to a guitar with an OFR?

Would I be able to retrofit an Edge Pro or a Lo Pro tremolo into a guitar with an Original Floyd Rose?

What would I need to change, if anything?

Thanks

why dude, edge pro kicks the crap outta the ofr
Yes, I'm completely aware of that, but that wasn't my question.
The procedure is very similar to a trs-edge conversion;
You'd have to replace the anchors and enlarge the cavity around the trem.

So, if your good with a router and woodworking tools, check the following tutorial:

.

PS.
actually the edge (pro) does not "kick the crap outta the ofr". So if your ofr is worn or broken, you should just get a new one.

not my ofr is not broken or worn, it depends on what your looking for in a bridge, and we have different opinions, so i guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
I think that the trem posts are drilled in different positions so you may have to fill the originals and re-drill as well as the other routing. The trs is in the same place as the ofr, but the edges are different. I think that they may be further back, and you would have to watch the post getting too close to the cavity.
personally i think the OFR is just as good as the edges. i mean.. the other day i played a usa jackson with an OFR and was doing dive bombs and extreme pull ups and it was keeping perfect tune.

+1

I use the schaller floyds and they are every bit as good. I have a custom strat with sperzels and it stays in tune as well as any edge equipped guitar I have. I am sure that setup is really what makes most of the difference between double locking trems.

Saying that, the edge derivatives do feel a bit easier to move initially. Maybe this is because of their size.
