If the Ibanez premium guitar's rosewood fretboard has binding that is made of maple wood, can lemon oil still be applied to the fretboard? I have heard that lemon oil is not applicable to maple fretboards, but what if the fretboard is not maple but bound with maple?

Maple boards tend to be finished, thats why people say that you can't lemon oil maple boards. And if it's not finished, some people say it's going to yellow the wood a little bit. But does it really matter?
