Hey, sorry to have to make a thread like this. I am a left handed guitarist who is looking to buy an Rg1570L. I currently play a strat and i wanted to know if anyone could tell me how much thinner the neck really feels. It's hard for me to goto stores and try the guitar because i play lefty. Also, if i do buy the guitar is there any advantages to leaving 9's on it rather then putting 10's? I am planning to put a tonezone in the bridge and a PAF pro in the neck if i buy the guitar. Thanks

one of my friend is a strat fanatic, he tried RG 1570 with wizard neck once, he was having a hard time on it, until today he can't play the wizard neck at all. he sticks to his beloved strats.

for me, it's only a matter of adaptation, how fast can you 'make friend' with your new neck shape, thickness, playbility , whatsoever.
I can play any neck for sure, from strat to les paul, but what I do best is when I play with my RG's.

when you decided to change the 09 into 010, just make sure to set the neck properly, otherwise it will be a nightmare to you.

tone zone and paf pro is pretty good choice for RG.

i belive the most standard strat radius neck is 9.5 where as ibanez is 16. So there is a pertty large difference.

The wizard is flat and wide, really the only way to know if you like i is to play it, i can see where that would be a problem in your case.

as for the 9s or 10s, that would be really more of a preference on your part, 9s would make the tremelo a little less stiff, but either way it would just be what you'd like, i have 10s on my usrg30 and 10-52 on my rg570 and the edge on my rg570 is easier to use then my lo pro on the rg30.

if you can get your hands around a thick lp neck, the ibanez is sort of the same due to the fact you have to get your hand up and around the neck. I dont think you'll have a problem then, but you never know until you play it .

I hope it works out for you.
