Is the the new RG520 a Roland Ready guitar? What does Edge Pro for GK Bridge mean? Thanks in advance.

It is Roland ready but it's called the RG1520G (BP) and it's got the same type of Edge-Pro as the Double-Edge which are fitted with piezo saddles.

You can't use it like the normal Double-Edge ( as a piezo pickup). The piezo saddles are used instead of a normal Roland GK pickup to trigger the synth.

Yeah Robotech..., the RG 1520G is "Roland Ready" and utilizes the same L.R. Baggs peizo elements installed in the Double Edge "pro" bridge,..but interfaces them with an internal Roland GK Hex preamp, instead of the L.R. Baggs preamp in the Double Edge guitars. I own the 2004 production run, (the 2005 has a nicer 5 piece neck), and it is by far the best Roland Controller that I've ever played. So Far the 1520 is the only "Roland Ready" guitar that features peizo's in a "Floyd Style" bridge.
So with this guitar, there is NO need for the GK series pick up and you can plug directly into a roland guitar synth ala just like the Fender Strat they have at their displays?

That is indeed correct.:)
I wish someone actually had these instock, because i'd love to see how it triggers Reason with the Roland GI20.
