Hi,
I have the opportunity to buy a RGA121 Prestige (excellent condition) for 500 USD and was looking for some info.
I've done some research online for the model however wondered if this was a good price?
All my Ibanez guitars in the past have had floating trems and this was a model I had never really considered but thought it maybe nice for a change (mainly the price that's tempting me)..
Would it be a good buy or is it just my GAS getting carried away because its a J Craft model for $500??..
Realistically if it was a 550, 770, 3120 etc I'd buy it in a heart beat as I have sold all my Ibanez guitars and would like to get a new one.
I'll also have to spend more money in the long run if I aim for a different MIJ model...
Opinions please.
Thanks, Nick

I've never played one so I'm not qualified to help. I'd be interested in the answer though.

I offered to teach a friend's daughter and she wanted to upgrade to an electric that would last as she progressed but has a smaller profile not too heavy. Fixed bridge for alt tunings and simplicity of maintenance.

I had my eye on this model as it seemed to fit those requirements. And ones with a few dings can be found at great prices 2nd hand for a MIJ guitar...

I used to have one, exactly this same model, loved the neck, top notch construction. Having said that, I ended up selling the guitar because of the HORRIBLE bridge. Really really cheap material that will age horribly, and its recessed into the body so it's imposible to find any gotoh or hipshot replacement for that bridge.

Its a beautiful model...go for it...! And fixed bridge will offer some beautiful surrounding for your vibrato technique...!
I had much cheaper, RGA32 - MOL and was perfect...
Hell, my fav is GRG121... (and i have been through more than ten Ibanezes, 6s and 7s, almost all of them MIJ)

Good luck!
