Hey all, just joined and couldn't find anything on this. My rga42fm came with a standard fixed bridge. 1) Is it worth upgrading, and 2), will a gibraltar standard II be a good upgrade and line up with the screw holes? If there are any other good upgrades that would line up feel free to suggest them, most hipshots I've seen are Gibraltar replacements, and obviously I'm unsure if that would work.

This guitar plays above its price point IMO, the neck feels great and didn't need much of a setup by my local tech. I'm putting DiMarzio Titans in next week, and plan on using this as my main guitar for a good while.

Nope, unless you wanna change hardware colour there's really no need.

Good call, Graphtech ratio tuners work really well on fixed bridge guitars if you feel like pushing the boat out.

I'm actually gonna go with some Sperzel Trem-Lok Satin Gold tuners. They match these Titan Pickups perfectly. Waiting on my neck pickup to get here, but this will be one sexy guitar once everything is installed

Hey,
did those titans fit well into your guitar or it needed some routing job?
I am gonna a buy a 7 string version of this (rga742fm) and gonna change the bridge.
I heard the bridge is an old Ibanez model and affects the tone.Do you have a suggestion for the replacement?
The bridge is same only the string number varies.And please give a review about your Guitar :grin2:
