So i've been hearing a TON about these pickups lately. I'm naturally a bit skeptical when it comes to unknown companies popping out of nowhere like this. I'm getting sick of my DiMarzio SD DP100 and looking to replace it, I was wandering if Rio Grande was actually worth a shot? When it comes to price they tend to be more like BN pups. They must think pretty highly of themselves

Popping out of nowhere? They've been around for nearly 20 years!

I have a couple of their 7 string singles, great pickups.

They are pretty well know in my book, small botique winders are like D Allen, Flalin?? Kline etc.

Well it's all about the sound. Check out D Allen, his SC strat style pups are pretty good and cheap. The standard model is only $88 a set with plastic bobbins.
