Hello, replacing my TRS with a Schaller made OFR trem. The TRS has a 16" - 17" radius while the Schaller has a 10" radius. Anyone know how many shims I will need to add to the outer saddles to get a radius that would work with my MIJ Wizzard II neck ( 17" radius )?

Thanks, Dennis

BTW, just to let you know I found the answer on a forum called Rackcreations.com. Sorry could not post the actual URL as I do not have enough posts to do so.

Surprised no one on Jemsite really has done a study on this. For the record, to shim a OFR with a 10" radius to work with a standard Wizard neck radius you put two 0.2mm shims under the outer saddles and one shim under the next two saddles going in and none under the two center saddles. That seems to be a good logical starting point. You then adjust from there. I found other sources for 0.16mm shims, so will have a bunch to mix and match.

Thanks anyways and hope this info is useful.

I have seen shims from Mighty Mite but I make my own. Use some scissors and cut up a Pepsi can. The toughest part is drilling the hole.
