Hi all,

I replaced a Schaller made Jackson FR with an original one, since the thread on the baseplate was 'gone' and I couldn't intonate it anymore. Now, those long screws locking the strings are too long for the cavity in the back, hitting the body when pulling back the trem. They are much thinner than used in the non-OFR, so I can't just swap them. Are there shorter, thinner versions available to use?

Thanks

Schaller makes these

They are shorter, however shcaller's base plate has space for those to fit through the plate into the saddle. Not all Floyd type trems have a wide enough slot for those to fit through. As far as I know those are the only ones that are short. You may have to get the ole Dremel out and elongate the cavity some of these do not fit. Or possibly find another manufacturer for the screws.
