11/30/05:

Well if you kept up with the tour diary in the forum, you know I had a great time on tour with Steve again. It was very cool to once again travel around Europe, play some killer shows and meet lots of great people. I hope to see you all again on the next tour!

Now that I'm back home, I have a TON of stuff to catch up on and a lot of it involves this site. But first, here's what I've got going on music-wise:

-Guitar Clinic at Sam Ash in King of Prussia, PA. Sponsored by Ibanez. 12/28/05
--I'm starting Pre-production for my next cd.
-I'll be recording a quasi-instrumental cd under a new band name with my bassist and drummer.

And new on the site today:

2 new guitars are in the Guitar Gallery. An Ibanez Euphoria 7 acoustic guitar that was a gift from Mr. Vai and an American Deluxe Ash strat... hey.. every man's gotta have a Strat, right? Check 'em out here -

I've also overhauled the DW.COM store with a new shopping cart system. You'll notice a few holiday offers. The first is my cd, Shove The Sun Aside. Not a new version or anything, but I had a box leftover from the tour so I decided to offer them to you straight from me instead of through other retailers. What does that get you? Well I'm going to sign each of the 32 discs with a personal greeting to the buyer and include a guitar pick too. Woohoo! Here's the page.

The other offer is a package deal with one of the 32 STSA "Holiday Greetings" cd's and an STSA t-shirt at a nice discount. Check it out here.

I've got a lot more coming up soon. For instance, a new ROTW (Riff of the week) section, updated photo page with pics from the tour, a special charity auction and more!

One more thing.. seems everyone's getting into Myspace.com. I figured I would too. Stop by my Myspace music page , send me a friend request and say hi! Check it out here.

Stay tuned.

He wont be.

I always loved the Euphoria, looks beautiful. Dunno if EVERY man needs a strat. But hey, I'll add you to my MySpace, Jaded Day (though its under reconstruction.)

Glad to hear things are working out man!

Oh and riff of the week sounds awesome too. Will we be allowed to put riffs up there too? Or is it just for yourself?

I dont mind, either way is ace! :D
The ROTW section is just going to be a new riff from me with audio and tab every week. The first installment will go up today sometime.

I'm abidextrous in a way. I play and do all sports right handed, but I eat and write left handed.
Huh! Me too. Small world.

So your Euphoria is the one Steve used right in front of me in Columbus. Too cool.

So how does the sound compare to your new orange acoustic? Brighter? Warmer? Greener?

I don't have my guitars from the tour back at my house yet so I haven't been able to A/B them. I will though.

I'm exactly the opposite. I knew there was something i liked about you ;)

That ring is cool, but have you considered the 'One Ring to Rule Them All' angle? Steve might have a 'master ring' and he's using you and 3 other guys for his own evil purposes! muahahaha!

Please tell Mr. Vai that one of his biggest fans on LI sends his regards.
thanks!

Dave, I received my STSA "Holiday Package" today. Overall, I'm very impressed. Very nice composition, performance and arranging. I found the cool surprise on the disc when I played it on my PC at home.

My disc states that it was manufactured in the EU. Were the first editions manufactured in the US and do they have the nice surprise at the end as well?

I don't know why I waited so long to order your CD, but I'm definitely glad I finally "pulled the trigger". If anyone here hasn't gotten a copy yet, they're passing up the chance to discover some truly beautiful music, delivered by one helluva musician/ songwriter.
