Everybody says, "Wizard II's suck, they aren't as good as Original wizards."

I was looking at the '95 catalog today and realized the alder bodied RG570ct's were equipped with Wizard II's.

Is a MIJ Wizard II just thicker than a Wizard or what?

BTW, I've owned many original Wizards but never a II.

Help.
