An improvement indeed Dee, Still like any trem out there, a good setup is all it needsThe Edge III is supposed to be pretty good. An improvement over the previous junk, hopefully.

Yeah, the monkey hole on a 555 is the exact same as the regular JEM.AFAIK, the grip should be the same. Gorilla grips are mostly found on Chibanezes (in which case good on you for getting the 2550, or you'd be less than satisfied).
It's not any better or worse, Ibanez just doesn't have to pay a royalty fee to Floyd Rose because it's not a low profile trem.and so are the evo's, but i dont know why the edge3 is better than the edge pro2?
The 555 neck also seems to be a little more "D" shape than a Jem, and slightly fatter too. Not to mention they have Jumbo frets.I wasn't expecting to feel such a difference, totally amazed - I don't know what is different about the finish the Japanese guitars have on the back of the neck compared to the MIKs, but if they chose to make one major upgrade to the MIKs, this would have to be it!
I would **** my pants with glee if they did that.I bet if the 555 was brought out with maple and pyramids a lot more people here would say it's great![]()
+1I would **** my pants with glee if they did that.
It's still better than half a vine.Yeah, but in keeping with the half inlay........you can only have 6 pyramids
