it's true, Steve Vai if officially in the "Book of Life" and by that I mean his name features in a protein sequences encoded in the genome of a bacterial plant pathogen called "Pseudomonas aeruginosa"

chances of this sequence of letters occurring by chance is 1/20^8 i.e. one in 25.6 billion...

In biology this means it has probably happened lots of times..

Nope. It's pretty unique. Many are close, but no reference protein sequence has the exact name: BLAST result.

Searched for myself. Didn't come up with anything. Realized there is no "J" chromosome.

Dude what I meant is that it is unique to that protein. 1 in 25.6 billion is even in genome biology not really likely. There doesn't seem to be any other reference seq protein with STEVEVAI as amino acid sequence. So it's indeed special. Or Pseudomonas really rocks.
